Community Spirit for Operation Stocking Stuffer
Community service is an important facet of Rumsey’s values, and during the holiday season our Blue Dogs went the extra mile to help those in need. Operation Stocking Stuffer was a week-long event in which students donated items to help benefit St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury. St. Vincent DePaul’s goal is to assist residents of the Waterbury area. This is done multiple ways: via being a resource center, homeless shelter, offering supportive housing, and residential health programs. The carload of donated stocking stuffer items will allow for meaningful gifts this holiday season. We are grateful to Ms Santiago from St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury for attending Tuesday morning's Lower School morning meeting to speak with us about the work of the Mission, and were delighted to deliver our collected items to her.
